Hi Class of 1972! I am the brother of Mary Kate and graduated in '74.   I wanted to pass on to those who may be interested in what Katee did after high School.  Unfortunately, my sister passed away in April 2004 due to kidney failure and chronic illness.  An avid swimmer her adult life, she swam the day before her death.

After high school, Mary Kate matriculated to University of California at Berkeley, where she majored in Native American Studies.  She left Berkeley in her Junior year to persue work and travel.

Kate lived on the peninsula, and worked as a waitress at Sundance Mining Company and Henry's.  The Henry's gig worked out, because she eventually married the owner Michael Skuce, which they operated together until the late 90s.

Mary Kate has a son, Justin, who graduated from Paly in (I think) in 2000.  She adored her son and always made their home open to his friends.  She was a "cool" mom according to Justin's friends.

I would be happy to correspond with anyone who wishes to remember my sister.  Thanks and enjoy your 40th!

Paul

Dear Paul,
I can say I have such incredibly fond memories of Mary Kate. She had a smile that shined as well as her heart. Bubbly, sweet and so kind. I was one of those who was a bit quiet and school wasn't my strong point. I have since realized school doesn't teach us about life, only about making a future for ourselves in the financial world. I have also learned much more from life than school. I could never have learned how to raise my two girls that are truly my gifts. If I could remember only one person who made me feel accepted, it was her. She was so dear.... And so missed.
Looking forward to our 40th. It will be a blessed weekend,
Lynn (Gold) Wolfsheimer

P.S. I also worked at Sundance
